In September our Year 5 girls set off on their week long residential trip to Oxfordshire. This 5-day course with The Bushcraft Company allows the girls to become fully immersed in the natural environment and focusses on team building and leadership along with expedition skills. Girls spent the week living in either large tepee or shelters that they had built themselves and were game for everything from swimming in the lake, cooking their own dinner over the camp fire and trying out the giant swing in the woods. The girls returned to school with a real buzz from living in the wild and with a new energy and confidence (along with the obligatory pile of dirty washing for parents).
