World Book Day is an annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world. This year the Old Vicarage School girls were given the theme of ‘Fairy Tales and Fables’. As you can see from the photos we had some amazingly creative outfits depicting ‘The Mad Hatter’, ‘Queen of Hearts’ and ‘White Rabbit’ from Alice in Wonderland, ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘Snow White’.
