Year 6 recently went to stay at the beautiful Château de la Baudonnière in Normandy for a week of French culture, language, fresh air and excellent food! They spent time exploring the grounds around the Château, getting to know the local animals and tackling activities including a mud assault course and bread making, all conducted entirely in French by the Château staff. Days out included a trip to Arromanches to visit the D-Day landing beaches and to Bayeux to see the famous tapestry with their own eyes. The girls also tested their French skills in the local market, where they bought presents and souvenirs. Their language skills have improved tremendously and everyone had great fun.
