Fifty six girls, ten intrepid staff, a beautiful resort in Italy, a week of cloudless blue skies, temperatures in the high teens and yet snow everywhere – it must be the Old Vicarage Ski Trip to Folgarida. We had a brilliant week and all the girls made excellent progress. Complete beginners were off the nursery slopes and up the mountain by day 3 and the more expert were challenging themselves on the black runs and the jumps and bumps. It was a test for the staff to keep up with them. Post-ski activities included bowling, a treasure hunt around the resort, quizzes, bingo and “Max factor”. Even the regular room inspections were welcomed – it is amazing how tidy girls can be when competing against each other. Roll on 2021 for the next trip.
