On the 5th March, both Reception classes went on a fabulous trip to the Wetland Centre in Barnes. The weather held out for us and the girls had a wonderful day in which they learnt all about what birds and eggs need to survive. The girls had a go at building their own nests and one group even discovered a real duck egg in the reeds. Sadly the otter enclosure was closed for refurbishment, but with the time made up in the adventure playground, the girls didn’t seem to mind. The girls had a great time spotting all the different birds from the observatory and out and about in the centre. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered and helped make the day the success it was.
