Old Vicarage School named Richmond Borough Champions

The Old Vicarage School achieved sporting excellence again this year, having triumphed in both netball and swimming, beating stiff competition to become the Richmond Borough Champions.

A huge honor, and our girls went on to represent the Richmond Borough at the prestigious London Youth Games.

Continuing our sporting successes our cricketers showed the same resilience and determination on the pitch, seeing the Old Vicarage School go all the way to the U11 Surrey cricket finals.

Head of PE & Games, Clare Wood explains the school's unique approach;

“My philosophy for teaching sports and PE is ‘participation for all with confidence and excellence.’

Girls participating in PE and sports have a more positive experience in an all-girls environment, becoming confident in their movement and performance in both competitive and non-competitive situations.

Girls thrive, taking this positive experience into their teenage and adult lives.

Our aim is happy, successful, driven, and self-assured girls.”

Huge congratulations to our Netball, Swimming and Cricket teams – these are tremendous achievements and we could not be prouder.
